Description
The Last Tea Party: A Space to Give Voice to Your Grief
Grief isn’t just about death. It lives in the quiet loss of who we used to be, the ending of relationships, the shift of aging, the changing earth, or even complex feelings around people we loved and struggled with. Yet, our world gives us so little space to simply speak it out loud.
Welcome to The Last Tea Party.
This is an open invitation to pull up a chair, enjoy a cup of tea, and share your story of loss with someone who is truly ready to listen.
How It Works: You will be paired with an attentive listener from our Authentic Relating Ottawa community. Through gentle, curious “discovery questions,” they will help you explore how grief is showing up in your life—without any need for you to manage their reaction, fix the feeling, or offer anything in return.
What to Expect:
- Human Relational Medicine: This is not counseling or therapy, and our listeners are not therapists. It is simply a dedicated, intentional human connection where you get to be fully witnessed.
- All Grief is Welcome: No loss is too small, too abstract, or too complicated.
- Zero Reciprocity Needed: This time is entirely dedicated to your story and your self-discovery.
Come as you are, bring what you carry, and let yourself be heard.
This event will be held outdoors at 60 Byward Market Square and is weather dependent and on a first come first served drop in basis from 1-4pm on Saturday October 24, 2026. Donations gratefully accepted but not required.
The Last Tea Party by ARO is not a grief support group or counseling session. If you are currently experiencing acute grief, please reach out to dedicated support resources.
